HOPE STREET
The area around the existing bus interchange has huge potential to deliver improved facilities for bus passengers, space for new facilities and development, and an improved entrance to the town centre and Market Hall.
Improvements to the bus interchange would go hand in hand with changes to Greens Way, and improvements to bus services and facilities that will make journey times quicker, more reliable and easier to understand for public transport users.
Access to existing car parks and servicing of the Market Hall will be maintained, and car parking availablity at John Street will be enhanced. Changes to road layouts will reduce vehicle speeds and improve pedestrian safety.

Your comments on proposals for Hope Street:
Proposals may cause delays to bus services rather than facilitating efficient operation. The current arrangements seem to work well. Bus services are increasingly poor and it seems the wrong Priority to spend a lot of money on waiting facilities particularly if they are not well maintained and kept clean. Careful consideration would also need to given to ensuring that a more comfortable environment doesn't just attract troublemakers . The existing interchange facilities in S.Yorks are a bit over the top and certainly do seem to attract wrongdoers.

Definate improvement required for market hall against greens way. Not sure gree space will attract anything other than anti social meeting in that location. Also for limited mobility vehicle access to the multi storey is essential with the loss of flyover
